Winterfest Weekend at Black Mountain

This picture was chosen because that over there on the left side is the Bagaduce, your uphill skin which is cut and graded, but part of BMOM backcountry.  No downhill traffic during the race.

Black Mountain of Maine community ski resort is one of the biggest supporters of both youth alpine and nordic ski racing in the Northeast  We are proud of the success many have seen at the National and Olympic levels.  The small amount Chisholm Ski Club earns from hosting the race goes to supporting youth alpine and nordic racing.

The glades cut by the volunteer group Angry Beavers are well known for their quality.  Each year half a dozen new ones have been come on board.  This year the expansion of the East Bowl Glades is a highlight in the race.

Everyone who comes with you to the race can buy a $37 lift ticket same as always on the weekend and holidays

The Red Coats of Chisholm Ski Club have hosted significant events from the 1950 World Cross Country Championships to more recently the U.S. Cross Country Championships in 2003, 2004, 2011 and 2012.

BMOM is a friendly low key ski area that so long as the snow is just ok or better will surely impress you

Each lap passes under the bridge in front of the lodge with the finish at the bridge  A very cool spectator spot.
